This 100 linear foot kit delivers a pristine, fastener-free surface from edge to edge, including the first and last boards, the deck perimeter, and stair runs. By hiding every fastener beneath tone-matched plugs, you achieve a seamless, professional finish that looks as good as new year after year.

The Cortex system creates a rock-solid connection between each deck board and its supporting joist, while the plugs—made from the same material as your deck boards—expand and contract with temperature changes and seasonal movement. That means no more plug replacements or unsightly gaps, even as your deck settles and shifts over time. The result is a durable, maintenance-light deck that maintains its clean, continuous look across all boards.

Designed for efficiency and accuracy, Cortex uses a TORX ttap drive system paired with a high-strength setting tool. This combination delivers consistent depth and a flush countersink, reducing installer effort and ensuring a tight, water-resistant seal every time. The plugs arrive pre-aligned on collated strips, so you can flip between boards quickly without fumbling for loose pieces— boosting installation speed by about half compared with traditional plug-and-screw methods.

For Trex Enhance Rocky Harbor, the Spotter Lid Installation Guide helps you position fasteners precisely on scalloped boards, so the finished deck presents a flawless, uniform appearance. To install, drive the Cortex fastener with the included setting tool to the correct depth, then place the Cortex plugs on top with grain directions matched and tap them into place for a seamless finish.

What’s included in the kit:

224 Cortex decking screws (2-1/2 inches, carbon steel)

240 collated Cortex plugs

2 Cortex setting tools

Key benefits at a glance:

Hidden fasteners across the entire deck surface for a clean, continuous look on Rocky Harbor boards

Strong, reliable connection between deck boards and joists

Plugs crafted from the same material as the boards for natural expansion/contraction and lasting beauty

TORX ttap drive system and high-strength setting tools designed for professional installers

Pre-aligned, collated plugs that streamline installation and reduce handling time by about 50%

Designed to fasten 100 linear feet of Trex Enhance Rocky Harbor decking with a single kit

Spotter Lid Installation Guide aids precise placement on scalloped Trex Enhance boards

Who will benefit most: professional deck contractors, skilled DIYers undertaking a Rocky Harbor Trex upgrade, and anyone seeking a durable, long-lasting hidden-fastener solution that delivers a flawless, plank-by-plank appearance.
